Pencil drawing inspired by John Singer Sargent
Pencil drawing inspired by John Singer Sargent painting of Henry James.
I find his paintings great to practice shadows and light. At fist I just blocked in the shadows but later on decided to, instead of dropping the image, to finish it with more details. Keep in mind this is a portrait drawing in my small sketchbook, not on full-blown sized paper.
Mainly used a fine-liner, 2B and a 6B pencil
